What's to keep someone from loosening the bracket bolts and taking them? If they want 'em bad enough they're gonna get 'em. I'd rather make them wish they had left them alone. A few goodies from a hardware store and some missing fingers or a hand ...

I am not a vendor,, but havea simple solution to the theft of hard bags. I have machined aluminum "nuts" that replace the 1/4 turn clips, help on wiht a dab of silicone to the stock bracket. The 1/4 turn stud is replaced with a bolt. you cannot use a screwdriver to defeat the clip, as you cannot turn the "nut" and or the bracket. It take approx 6 turns of the bolt to release the bag. Looks good and lots more secrue than the stock set up. The rubber grommet and washer stays stock, and helps prevent the bolt from backing out. A locking sytem for th ebolts can be made by drilling the heads and wireing them to prevent turning.

any interest...I expect about 40 bucks , stainless hardwareand aluminun blocks, powder coated. black ...
A simple allen bolt works using j-nut, I just use one on each side on frontwith originalzuess fastener on back. I don't think it is worth 40 bucks.

I am with you on that, an old fashioned boobytrap sounds like the key, lose the fingers and you cannot steal my stuff or anyone elses.

yup,, a bolt and washer , with a wing nut will work.. but , you have the nut on the inside to snag stuff. Mine dont. has the bail like the stock 1/4 turn.

As for the bolt,,,its a pain in the butt to get some bags on and have to stick a bolt through them. With this system, you just place the bag as normal and screw in the bolt. The "nut" is held wiht a dap of silicone. wont fall off when you remove the bolt.

Powder coated to look good, can be had in plain and polished. We use stainless steel bolt.

VERY strong, better than stoock. ...the j-nuts were another idea I had,, but they dont look as good,, but will work.

ok,,,,we go down in price,,30 bucks....i was just guessin as I wil lhave to pay the shop....

out shop rate is high...too high. You dont need any tools for this setup.. i gotta get pics on my bike...will try soon.

thanks for all the feedback,,,,,just trying to help.

Did mine for less than $3 with a bolts and a "C" clips that can't fall off or be manipulated. I leave and old 1/2 inch box wrench in the bag if I need to remove ‘em away from home. This is all useless unless you lock your bags
