With a return, you can get it together. Be sure no spaces at end or return or it will think it's too big.

Harley called me on Saturday, apparently my belt somehow sheared all the teeth off my rear sprocket. My front brake and rotors need to be replaced and my front tire is cupped. They're gonna open the primary today and see if there is any other damage. I'm gonna swing by today after work and talk to them. Currently looking at $2900 in repairs. I found the belt, rotors, pads, and sprocket at New Castle Harley to save me about $250-300 or so. I am sure I can save a little more when I have the full parts list. The big thing I am looking at is changing my front tire from the OEM D408F to the Dunlop American Elite, my understanding is it's the same compound and essentially the same tire correct? The American elite is around $139 vs the $250ish for the D408F.

Inquiring minds want to know - how many miles on your ride? Front brakes need replacing periodically but rotors last quite some time - normal riding that is. Cupped tires are often caused by improper inflation so whatever you put on be sure and add that to your pre-ride checklist.

Strange that the belt tore up the rear sprocket. Keep us posted.

Yeah, I am hoping they can help me understand how a rubber belt destroyed an aluminum sprocket. The bike has 56k or right around there.

My friend had the same problem with his Sporty. Has about 130,000 miles on it. He brought it over and said it had a shudder vibration especially if he gave it too much throttle.

Ask him how long it had been going on and the reply was a long time.
He hopped on and kicked it in gear and I was standing there, I saw a mark on the belt jump out of site on the rear pulley with him setting there. The rear pulley was worn so bad, it was like just a little dip at the bottom. Of course, the belt looked almost as bad.

They need to have the tires off to change them. So it's a simple matter to replace rotors. Primary needs to be apart for belt.
There price sounds way high.
