Riding boots?
While searching for riding boots last year, I found a pair of full grain leather boots with Vibram soles, Goodyear welt construction, dependable YKK zippers, and most importantly, built-in ankle and shin protection. Surprisingly, all these features are in an H-D boot called the Severn, which I believe are made by Wolverine. While they have an expensive moco MSRP, if you search enough you may be able to find them on sale in the 99-129 range.
Good luck with whatever you end up with!

I wear a pair of tactical boots that lace up and also have a side zipper ,I have rode over 300,000 in my life time and buy them from a supplier of boots and uniforms for police . They are comfortable and can walk all day in them , just ask a local cop where he gets his gear .
A pair of Redwing 10” lace ups. They are 14 years old, on the second re-sole and probably have another one left in them in a year or two. They might very well outlive my riding years.
