I'm running bullet rear turn signals - part number 68615-04. So, you're saying there's a direct fitment for a license plate to that bar? That would really be something, I think. If you know the part number, I'd love to check it out.
Just looked up your turn signal bar and it doesn't have the tag light built into it. In that case, just go with the lighted curved plate frame i mentioned earlier. Should work.
I got lucky, I found an old discontinued Kuryakyn plate relocation kit in a clearance bin at a HONDA dealership....dont know why they had a Harley plate kit, but thought it was cool, had a trim piece to cover the holes where the original RK plate mount was and an integral led lit fender tip. Lights the plate from a grove at the base of the plate frame. Why dont they make this for newer models ? It seems like it would sell well.
I just installed a quick detach tour pack kit on my 2012 Ultra and the bracket for the license plate is horrible. What have others done to move the license plate down and not install that crappy bracket? A quick search on the inter web didn't give me many options for my year and model. Seems like for 2014 and newer there are a few. I'd love some thoughts.
I bought a streetglide rear tail light and wired it in.
My brother's right in the middle of getting his CVO Ultra's Tour Pack off the bike with the quick disconnect kit. I offered up a license plate relo bracket that I liked, and I think it looks great. I also suggested the filler panel LEDs, which he agreed with, but he also wanted a bit more light so added the saddlebag mounted LEDs as well. Both work as turns as you can see from the pic. Still sorting out where all the TP wires will go when it's off, but I've read here that there's rooom under the seat.

That's one of the best stock fender/license plate set ups I've seen on a limited.
Yes, there is plenty of room under the seat for the TourPak wires to go.

Thank you, I rather like it...I put a Streetglide fender on my Road King over the summer and relocated the plate in a similar fashion ---that was my inspiration for the CVO as well!
Can you what year bike the bar & shield piece goes to under your plate? Looking for something similar for my bike. I looked under 2016 FLTRU but don't see it.
Thanks
I drilled and used the Kurykn curved bracket with built in LED. The top edge bulges out a bit and has a full row of LED's to eliminate the need for the window in the tail light. I also swapped my tail light for a "lay back" LED version without the window.
Hi folks. I ended up going with the Softbrake mount that attaches to the rear bullet turn signal bar holes. I think it turned out well. Had to make a couple minor custom bends but it worked out pretty good.
