Default License Plate Relocation

I just installed a quick detach tour pack kit on my 2012 Ultra and the bracket for the license plate is horrible. What have others done to move the license plate down and not install that crappy bracket? A quick search on the inter web didn't give me many options for my year and model. Seems like for 2014 and newer there are a few. I'd love some thoughts.

Softbrake should have one that fits your needs.

There are a few threads on this subject here.

For me, I drilled the holes. Then clear coated the metal. Then nice rubber grommets. Then a slightly bent plate frame and Viola!

And the replacement lens that is clear on the bottom.

I also drilled holes and used https://www.denniskirk.com/v-twin-ma...iABEgJeYPD_BwE.
with a small plastic spacer to achieve the angle I wanted.
I used the reversed tail light lens for the light.

Do your tail light lenses illuminate the license plate?

I understand there is a lens, but does the taillight have a bulb or LED to shine white light on the license plate?

I don't know about other states, but in Texas code says "the license plate must be illuminated by a white light that makes the plate clearly legible at a distance of 50 feet from the rear."

The lens window is clear and illuminates the licence plate.
