I just installed a quick detach tour pack kit on my 2012 Ultra and the bracket for the license plate is horrible. What have others done to move the license plate down and not install that crappy bracket? A quick search on the inter web didn't give me many options for my year and model. Seems like for 2014 and newer there are a few. I'd love some thoughts.

I understand there is a lens, but does the taillight have a bulb or LED to shine white light on the license plate?
I don't know about other states, but in Texas code says "the license plate must be illuminated by a whitelight that makes the plate clearly legible at a distance of 50 feet from the rear."
