Had a highly trained super tech (sarcasm) put a set of tires on backwards on my sport tourer, I mean come on.....it even has an arrow on the tire to show the correct position!
but when the arrow is on the bottom of the wheel, it's pointing forward....
After doing a service on the Ultra (had it on a stand) I lowered it, unclamped the wheel, went to roll it off the stand and it wouldn't budge. Spent a good 10 mins trying to figure out why the wheel unclamped would still hold this bike. I looked down and realized I still had straps on it. DOH
Same day,
Did a service on my KLX450F, had a nasty oil leak so it was due for a new plug and crush washer and lube. Got it all done and went to run it. Wore my self out kicking that thing over trying to get it to start. I Have a real steep driveway (paved) and thought, f'it, I'll push this beast up to the top and roll start it. Got half way up and realised the fuel was turned off. Yup, that happend.
I did have a few shots of JD Honey so that might have been part of it.
Got a good laugh at it either way. And some exercise
but when the arrow is on the bottom of the wheel, it's pointing forward....
true, but think about rolling the tire in the direction of the arrow, while it may be pointing forward while on the bottom, the tire is rolling backwards
Took my bike in to have the brake fluid replaced. While dropping it off I asked if they could see what the deal with my ABS was.
Tech: When did the ABS stop working.
Me: After I put my front wheel back on after a tire change. I think I might have pinched the wire or something.
Tech: Dumb question? Do you think you might have put the wheel on backwards?
Me: (Laughing) No way!
After a quick look by Me and the Tech the wheel was on backwards!
Okay fella’s let the jokes commence!
If only people in our government were as honest as you. I'd have a hard time owning up to that one. Like the comment above: A man who makes no mistakes probably doesn't do much.
