If you go with Heritage Bars, they arebetter than OEM RK bars. I adjusted mine pulled back towards me while seated. I think the rise on the Heritage Bars are 8" compared to 6" on the RK bars. I am told, Heritage bars are as tall as you can safely go withoutcable and brake line changes. I personally would like to change my bars to 12"
Just took mine off and went back to my electra glide standards for my Sturgis ride. Loved the way they looked and felt on short rides ( higher and wrists turned out). But on the long hauls they made me hunch my shoulders causing neck and shoulder pain. Everyone sets different, it's a game of trial and error.
I replace my rk stock handle bars with pullback handle bars # 55954-00, I like them better than the heritage, I check both handle bars out and found these work the best for me, and no cable changes was need.
I just wish I could get them in a 1.25" pre-drilled for internal wiring! It'd be great is H-D or Wild1 would make these in the EXACT FLSTC dimensions, but in Chrome, 1.25", and pre-drilled! (H-D & Wild1---make me some bars).
I tried doing the internal wiring on the FLSTC bars and it was such a PIA, that I quit. The bars interior was too tight. Anyway, the 1" bars look sorta goofy with no wires. Hence 1.25" bars.
Other than the wiring issue, I love my bars so much, I put them on my wife's FLSTN!
