2015 FLHTK right side dash harness plug

Did you ever figure out what this plug was for? I was wondering the same thing. I removed the dummy slot and replaced it with an accessory switch that I used for my garage door opener. I just shoved that unused harness back into the fairing, never knowing what it could be used for.

When you buy the switch pods, it comes with a wire harness. There is a connector under the seat or the right side cover, forgot which. There is a connector there you plug the harness in. This will give you one lower power pig tail, one with a connector on it, and one high-power with a relay you hook up to the battery. You are not supposed to run anything directly off the switches on the dash. Their function is to liven up the harness that came with the kit.
