I want to use the right side dash panel 6 pin OEM plug to add switches to the right side of my dash. I have switches ordered, and was trying to test that plug to see if there is any power going to any of the wires that are attached to it, I didn't think to take a picture but it appeared there were at least 3 maybe 4 wires attached to that plug. When using my testor with the ignition on, none of them registered as having power. Where does this harness run to? It goes over the handlebars and disappears under the fairing. Is it dead ended inside the fairing? or does it run under the tank and underneath the seat? I was going to take off the fairing but I have not had an opportunity to remove it and try to trace it out.
(Right side switch pod and switches are all on backorder, probably won't get everything until June it looks like).
Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.
I just realized i probably posted this in the wrong place, i see there is a special forum for rushmore models, but I don't know how to move this. sorry about that.

Reason: wrong forum
Thanks for the link Galv Tex Guy, but when I went to it, it comes up soo damn tiny you can't read anything it says. I ran across a similar problem on a harley instruction sheet so i tried to print it, and it all showed up in print preview. But this does not appear to work like that, so kind of useless unless you know some method of enlarging the info so it is readable.
Thanks though
If I understand you correctly you are ordering the dash panel Aux buttons?
I just installed some of the left (for fog lights). Had to get the Aux accessory cable to plug into the left side panel accessory plug.
Do you need that?

No, a post I had read that listed part numbers said that the parts for the left side absolutely won't work on the right side. I am just trying to figure out where that right side harness goes after it leaves the handlebars. I have not had an opportunity yet to tear apart the front fairing, I just had it all apart to replace fork oil and never thought about tracing it out when I had it off. Just thought if someone here knew where it went it would save the hassle, but I plan on taking it apart again this weekend. Just seems kind of dumb to me that they have that dummy switch pod on the right but don't provide what you need to get the other 3 switches to work. I am taking a chance, I ordered 71400033 which is a CVO right side switch assy with Lock/unlock buttons. According to the article i read, you have to flip it 180 degrees so the buttons are upside down, and it will fit. Then you take the switch caps and flip them around and snap them back on. But I won't reuse the lock/unlock switches, I ordered 2 accessory switches to replace them. It is kind of a gamble cause I am hoping it will work but everything is on backorder so I thought I would try to trace the wiring on that plug, so i can figure out how to get power to it when the switch pod arrives. A lot of screwing around and money just for a factory look for extra switches.
CRBear, is that the cable that splits into 2 connectors (see attached)? One end goes to accessory plug under left side cover, other end has 2 plugs. I think this only has 4 pin plugs on it, and my 2015 accessory plug under the left sidecover has 8 pins.
I am not really sure how you get power up to that 6 pin right side harness plug that lies behind that black plastic cover below the ignition switch.
My left side accessory switch pod, has only the passing light switch on it, the other 2 are dummy plugs. That harness runs down to the accessory plug under the left side cover (8 pin plug) that comes wired that way from the factory.

I didn't use that harness.
You're trying to power the led lights on the crash bar right? Do they supply all the wires you need for power? Mine didn't.
Mine had a wire connection for power but I had to supply 12v from another wire on the bike. I didn't know where to pull from so took to Harley, they charged an hour labor to fix it. They also added an Aux button to power it as the two that came with the dash panel they said wouldn't work.
It was worth it to me to pay the hour labor to fix it.
