On a stock SG you get wind blowing literally from over the top of the shorty windshield unless you are very diminutive in stature (i.e. not tall), and from either side of the tank up in your face and torso. Many threads here discussing wind management. The consensus is a) taller recurve windshield, and b) fork fangs, and for some folks, C) bolt on wings on the sides of the batwing.
I’m 6’3" so I opted for an 8” recurve windshield and Harley fork “fangs". My problem with wind is completely solved. I also have a Kuryakyn triple tree (dog dish) wind deflector that had nominal impact in my case, but it is also installed. Manages wind coming between the forks under the headlight.
That's a good looking bike! I like the mirrors under the grips, the black lines on the paint, and the rear crash guards.
Thats simple. I couldnt grow a beard if I didnt shave for the rest of the year. Lol. My son will probably have a better beard before I do and hes 15. Anyway. Fangs are awesome. I had them on my last bike but havent got them on my SG yet. I was in kentucky last week and almost bought a set but didn’t want to carry them around with me walking around the area. Got home and wish I bought them on site from HD. Ordered a set already. Help a lot with the wind on the pant legs thats for sure. They also sell a deflector for under the triple tree. Those 2 together should help greatly
Or. You can always rubber band that thing.

One quick check you can do is to place your left arm horizontally across your chest next time you feel the wind coming up. If this reduces the buffeting, then the air is coming from below the fairing. Fangs will help to reduce or eliminate that. As far as my goatee.... I use a hair band and band the goatee. This keeps it from flying up and flopping in my nose and face. My goatee is a bit longish....about 6-8", so it does fly in the breeze. Give these a try and see what you think.
Oh yeah.... I do love the wind, but hate the helmet buffeting and the beard flying up and blocking my vision.
