The fix your looking for is the air baffle that bolts in between the front forks. It completely eliminates the problem your having. I had the same issue and this was the fix.

If you're talking about this deflector, I put one on my 14 SGS and it barely did squat. If you're talking about something else, I'd like to see it.
I had the same experience with this Kuryakyn triple tree deflector. After reading all the great reviews at their site I installed it before buying the Harley fangs. It had minimal impact, if any. The fangs however made a huge difference.

Yes, I had the Harley one and it didn't do squat to prevent the air coming up under the tank. The only thing that's going to block that type of buffeting is a set of the Fork Mounted wind deflectors. BTW, the NAME of the product explains EXACTLY what it does.....UH>>DEFLECT THE WIND!! It moves the wind OUT and AWAY from the motorcycle.
My only issue with the Fangs, (besides their overall looks, lol), is how much do they actually affect engine cooling? I spend A LOT of time riding in 100+ degree weather and engine temp is more of a concern to me than my goatee getting blown around a bit. I'd be willing to try them if I knew they didn't divert windflow AWAY from the motor, but I've never heard a definitive answer to that. Just opinions and speculations. Maybe I'll have to wire up an engine or oil temp gauge and test it myself.

Great question! Please let us know your results. Id be curious too.
This was the one thing that bothered me (although many say it's not an issue). I took mine off years ago due to the summer heat and the hot smell of the bike. We'll see how this summer goes.
