Default New handlebars... need some input

I currently have 10 inch Twin Peaks mini apes. I like them and the height is perfect (I am 5'10") , I love the way they look, but as I get better at riding at slow speeds, I feel that they are too far away from me. Since I bought the LePera Montgomery seat, it did put me a little closer, but not remotely to where I would like to be. These handlebars were installed by a previous owner. I could keep them, but doing the full turn maneuvers is little harder. I think if I had them little closer to me, it would be a lot easier.

With that said, I really like the looks of them. What other handlebars would have the same look, but be "bend" little closer to me? I almost wish I could bend these lol

I checked. Unfortunately, the dealer did a perfect job installing these lol.. There is literally like 1/8th of an inch gap from the bar to tank when in full turn.

I assume these are LA Choppers Twin Peaks. If so, here are the specs:

Overall Width 34 in.
Pullback/Sweep 6 in.
Rise 10 in.

A 6" pullback is not a lot, so you would need something with more pullback. Width isn't too bad at 34".

Thanks for this info! This helps a lot. So, pullback/sweep is the number I should look at then? To bring it closer to me, would be a larger number?

I like the width. In-fact, now that I been doing some reading, I wonder if 8 inch rise would be better for me. I feel like these bars make me slump and shrug my shoulders.

Interested. I'm short and have changed 2 bars (Khromewerks 2+2 narrow and now on Helibars). I've tried every possible combination with helibars and I still get lot of shoulder pain. With the closest setting on helibars I feel they are really close to me but they don't get rid of my shoulder pain.

I'm thinking of these 2 next :

1: WildOne 579
2: Klockwerks : 14" kliphanger bars. Wonder how much back I can pull these.

Search continues. I've had my bike for 45k miles and haven't done any power mods because I have not been able to dial comfort yet.

Yes.

If that's the case, you might as well just go back to stock bars.

Go to the dealer and sit on a Street Glide.

The LA choppers twin peaks will make you reach for sure,I had them on my old bike, loved everything but the reach, if you call LA choppers, they'll even tell you that, lots of bar information on here, new bike has stock bars,no more reaching, waiting to see if I need to change bars, with a longer trip, gotta be careful with measurements, all bar's are different,as how they measure. If you decide to change, post up on here with a picture, and how you like your choice, good luck

I do have stock bars in a box. Man, I guess I could swap and see how it is.

I like the TP ones. Just the damn reach...if it was like couple inches more towards me, then these bars would be perfect.

If I had all the money I’ve spent on my bikes, I’d be living on a beach in Costa Rica.
