Another consideration is BR Bars. I bit the bullet on my 09, and they fit me perfectly.

They are custom-built for you. Pricy though. You measure your height and pullback and get the bars made for you. I went with the Oldschool bars, similar to the Twin Peaks look, but different numbers. They aren't on their webpage at last look, but if you like the style that's the one. They have some kinda obscure ones on there but ask about the old school ones.

Sounds stupid, but the last handlebars you'll buy. Unless you buy a new motorcycle and know how much of a pain the old multi-wire non-CANbus handlebars are to wire...

This latest motorcycle I went 12" Twin Peaks. I'm 5'8" [5'7&7/8" - ha ha]. I like them a lot, but I coulda went 14". When it's slow speed time I'm scooting a little ahead in the seat. When I'm zipping along, I lean back and enjoy the ride.

Good Luck.

Lean your body forward in slow speed turns. You'll get so good you'll wonder why you even questioned the bars.

Well, this may be a little late. I'm 5'9". I ordered Viking bars (drag specialties part # 0601-4425). They had to most pull back of any that I looked at (10.5"). These are the 12" rise. I had the dealer install them. They called and said that they were 14" rise. I looked a little closer on Magnum Shielding's (manufacturer) website and found they measure the rise at the end of the bar. The tech said the standard measurement was taken at the tallest point. I'm well pleased with them. The bars let me sit upright with a little bend in my arms.

I like the TP ones. Just the damn reach...if it was like couple inches more towards me, then these bars would be perfect.
like so many others here, i went with Khrome Werks 2+2 Narrow Sweepers (p/n 300519). They are 2" higher and 2" closer compared to the factory bars. they are perfect for me.

You might want to call as speak directly with Ret from KST. I really like their Spearheads with 3 way adjustments. Again tell him what you are having issue's with. I feel like he will shoot you straight and if he still does not feel that they will get you where you need to be he won't try to sell you on them. But again being 3 way adjustable COULD do the trick. Just a suggestions.
Good Luck!

Looks like WO579 have more pullback at 14". This is will be my third set of bars. I think I'll just buy the tools and learn how to install bars. This thing is getting expensive. Already spent close to 3 grand on bars alone and still get terrible shoulder pain.

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Are you sure it's the bars? What about your seat? Could that cause issues?
