Default What are the benefits of ape handlebars

I was just wondering what the benefits of having apes is. Is it comfort, is it looks, both? I'm not sure if I would benefit from them, how would I know?

If your tall they help your back a lot. Some say your overall control of the bike is easier due to leverage. AND they look cool lol.

Saving money by not needing deodorant. Also comfortable and great looking too.

For me, it's primarily comfort, then looks. When you're driving your car, you aren't reaching down to the steering wheel, you've got your hands out in front of your chest. I like to sit up, stretch out, and have my hands out in front of me.

major and minor motor skills (hands/arms) are nothing but reduced the further away from the body they go... it does look good though

they must be a safety hazard, as several states regulate the height of your handle bars. they certainly do not look good on a motorcycle.

For me apes eliminated sharp pain between my shoulder blades and the bike handles better.

+1 At least on the first part. The back feels 100% better and it's a helluva lot more comfortable. I will never have another bike without apes. Never! SJ Ron

yes there are some laws for trying to maintain a little safety. they cannot be above your shoulders or hamper any of the motorcycles functions.

perfect height apes have many comforts and benefits. less pain in overall shoulder area, and hand cramps. les back pain

most of all they look cool and are functional
