Got an 03 roadking im working on for a distant family member. So a few years ago this cousin of my wifes had a stroke and can no longer ride bikes. His garage flooded one spring and this road king and a 95 hardtail sat in 6" deep water for a few days. Got them somewhat cleaned up, and the road king was done and ready to sell last fall. This spring went to fire it up and its as tho the battery is weak, pulled the plugs turned over fine but no spark. Grabbed the battery out of my fxst thats new and known as good. Cleaned every battery cable i could find, even took the starter out to have a look see at the solinoid and the connector at the motor itself. Spun over great with battery/no load. Put starter back in and still same old slow crank, even on boost for a few seconds. What should i be looking for? Bad cable? Bad starter? Thanks guys!
contacts looked a little pitted not near enough to cause an an issue so i clothed them anyways. Its almost as if the bike doubled in compression sitting over the winter(in a building not heated here in mn)
Load test the battery, make sure battery connections are cleaned up while battery is out.
went through EVERY battery cable both positive and grounds and shined up all surfaces. As far as the battery i even took the one out of my fxst with a 95" kit and that battery does the same exact thing as the other new battery that was in it. Even on boost from the charger it dont crank over any faster.(only used boost to see if it crank over faster, not prolonged time)
Connect your voltmeter to the battery posts (not the terminals on the cables), press the start button, what is the voltage reading while the start button is pressed?

9.6v if i remember right when i did it a couple weeks ago when i was first working on it
