Ok, I have a 06 flh Electra glide with a 88 tc motor. Im wondering if a 103 tc top end will fit. Im aware Ill may have to bore it to fit the jugs, maybe change the wheels and cam chest too, but can it work?
88" engine has 4" stroke flywheels and a 3.75" bore. The 103 has 4.375 stroke flywheels and a 3.875" bore. Since the factory case bore is the same, you can fit 103 cylinders on your cases, but will need pistons designed for the larger bore, and the smaller stroke. This will make your engine a 95" (4" stroke x 3.875" bore).
The heads are interchangeable, you just have to use 2006 and newer intake flanges with 2006 and newer heads.
