I took off the muffler and heat shields off my Road Glide, which required the right saddlebag and side cover to come off, and while putting everything back I found this - can anyone tell me where it might have come from?
It is a little smaller than a dime but a lot thicker. And I am not sure about the exhaust - no markings on it and it had it when I bought the bike. I took the muffler and heat shields off and sent them to Jet-Hot for satin black ceramic coating.

No, I just took off the saddlebag, side cover, muffler and heat shields, as well as the floorboard to get access to the forward heat shield. I hate having an extra part!
I see the OE 1/4 turn saddlebag fasteners have been replaced with threaded fasteners. Perhaps the PO added a spacer between the bag and rear mount to provide clearance for the Dirty Air reservoir.
