Accidentally found out brake light not working because cruise wouldn't lock. Knowing when it quit would help a lot but...I haven't used cruise in awhile so not sure. The obvious question I would ask is have you done anything lately to bike.....
I replaced upper fupperoot because of dent. I replaced final drive belt and primary chain. I replaced aftermarket light flasher for brakes. Lots of opportunities there to screw things up but.
I removed aftermarket lighting(for now)
I replaced both front and rear light switches even though they tested ok. Still, no cruise and brake lights on full time.
Codes B1121,1122,1145,C1034,C1095,C1216
All which point to things that MIGHT be problem yet I can't find one. I cant afford dealer. If module is bad is there a way to test or bypass? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can ride without brake light but would sure like cruise back.(I still want it fixed)
You don't mention the year, but based on the codes you supplied. If you had no codes prior to performing the work then I agree with the previous comment about pinches wires or possible wiring connectors that were not reconnected during the work that was performed. Also, I do not know what a "upper fupperoot" is, which may be helpful.
B1122(HFSM) Right Turn Output Open
B1122(TSM) Right Turn Output Fault
B1145(HFSM) Security Antenna Open
C1034 ABS rear wheel speed circuit open/shorted
C1095 Front brake switch open
C1216 Rear brake switch open
Basic fact, the cruise will not work as long as your brake light is illuminated. The cruise control "brain" is being told you are trying to stop and it will disconnect the cruise or not let it engage in first place. Correct the problem that is keeping the brake light on and that SHOULD cure the cruise, though there is always a possibility it has its own problem in addition to the brake light being on. Fixing the brake light is step one in trouble shooting the cruise. If you don't have a manual, chances are good that the new front brake switch got the little plastic button on the end of the plunger broken off when you installed the brake lever and is the reason the brake light won't go out.
I had the same problem with my upper fupperoot. The deal is, you have to replace both the uppers and lowers at the same time, the upper will not work on its own.

No, you are wrong...
If the good fupperoot is properly calibrated you can just replace the bad one...
I thought everyone knew this.
OK OP, tell us the model and year of bike, we will be happy to help you.
2010 ultra classic with 50k and looks new still. Been very reliable. No issues with exception of aftermarket stuff. Upper fberoot ,also know as fork boot ,was dented. I replaced it and as you all know there is dissasembling involved. Ughh
I replaced switches front and rear (not clutch switch).
Also, primary primary hayden tensioner, final drive belt, and brakes pads. I dont know when light stayed on all the time. I found out because cruise wouldn't work. It would help a lot if I knew when but...haven't used cruise since sturgis, (which I would like to make again but.)
..front switch tested with little pins stuck in wires. Button functioned properly. Rear switch is hot, as if on brake, so trouble must be forward but not seeing anything wrong. What else can effect that cuircuit? Can abs? Can speed sensor? Yes I have manual and been tracing wires but no results. Hoping for fresh idea. Im overlooking something simple? All relays test good but changed them anyway. Help
