Bought a 2007Ultra. Scrunched up! '08Tallboy pushes back 2" but not '07. Tips that you have done? EZbrake better than HD extended brake? Boards moved forward? Boards moved out? I bought pegs to use as forward foot rests and removed lower fairings. Has anyone modified their seat to push back AND keep the backrest or do you lose it? Has anyone sent their seat off to Corbin/Mustang/Alan with pictures and body specs. i.e. 34" inseam, etc? Thanks. Big feet gettin' all tangled up!
Got these for my 35" inseam. moves the footboards forward 2" or so. alsooffers great brake pedal which is smaller and gives your right foot more room. Great quality too. http://www.bubbasbrake.com/xcart/home.php?cat=252
Don't know about the seats, my stock Road Glide seat works for me. For 2 up I got a Tallboy seat and still feel pushed too far forward.
Roger the Bubba's Brakes boards and levers, no lowers with pegs mounted low, Soos board extending kit, WO 517, and Corbin solo. 6' 5", 36" inseam. Road Glide.
Tbone,I feel your pain.I'm 6-9 with a 38in inseem.I took my stock seat to a local upholstery shop and he took 3 1/2 in's out of the back of the seat, plus 1 1/2 in's out of the back rest. Time will tell if it works on long trips, but so far it feels great. If it doesn't,I'll just have to deal with it.Don't have a choice.
How many miles hage you got? The reason I ask is that when I first bought my 07 UC, I felt like I was all scrunched up. (36" inseam).I hated the handlebars and seat. After 1600 mi. I don't seem to mind it as bad. At least not $500 for new seat and handle bars bad. Next time you see a big feller on a Gold Wing, notice how scrunched up he looks.
I am 6'5 and 37" inseam . I ride the 07 Ultra with everything stock but the Brake pedal. went with E-Z Brake on my 03, standard, my 05 ultra and now my 07
makes a huge difference
