Default 2004 FLHTCSE wiring under Fairing

I purchased my 3rd 2004 FLHTCSE (first was crushed by a semi, second was stolen, never recovered) from a dealer in FL and had it shipped here. It was in better condition then expected. It arrived here right as winter came so it never got ridden before working on it. Like all Harley's, the previous owner put there personal touches on it. Sent the tins out to be clear coated due to cracking. Put everything back together. Now I am running down wiring issues. The amount of wiring (BS) under the fairing is we'll say interesting. I have a lot of plugs not connected to things and a few extra that I haven't seen before.

Issues: No speedo or tach, no turn signals or horn. Sometimes the lights work on the speedo/tach and sometimes they don't. It all worked last year before the tins were removed and sent to paint. I also upgraded the headlights and found to headlight plugs.

The orange wires going to the cigarette lighter, should they be hot when the key is switched? The lighter itself has been removed and replaced with a USB port, wired directly to a separate relay/fuse directly to the battery.

I'd like to remove the garage door opener. This would eliminate the extra plug for the headlight. However, there is an orange wire running to the cigarette plug.

Thanks Everyone!

Just trying to figure out what someone else did. Here are some pictures.

Can't help much with the problems, but those exposed wiring connectors would scare the hell out of me. If nothing else a little electrical tape would go a long way to piece of mind

So it turns out whomever wired the "Kickers" into the audio system "jumped" a few wires. I removed the garage door remote and the extra harness. I then wired the remaining two wires that went to the cigarette lighter to a switched power wire that was not being used. This got everything to work. What a wiring debacle. Everything is good and went on a 2 hour ride last night.

That's actually how I found the problem.
