Default Anyone done this? Will the wiring allow it?

I'd like to swap the tach and speedo around- I spend a lot of time driving my '11 Silverado, and when I get on the bike, I instinctively look at the right side of the guages for the speedo (where it is in the truck).

I know it's not hard to adjust my vision, but CAN the swap be done? I know that flex conduit that all the wiring is contained in behind the dash is pretty solid; I'm curious if there is enough slack in the wiring to allow the two gauges to be swapped around like this (yeah- it's an inversion of the guages. Either that, or I'm tached out and running WELL over the speed limit!):

Just wondering. Save the snarky comments about looking at the right guage...I do that, though it takes a couple glances to look at the correct side when I've been off the bike for a while (such as the last two days following a month sidelined by weather and hand surgery). Just wondering if I can keep both my vehicles the same, and the Silverado dash doesn't have individual guages that could be swapped. Snap-glances down oddly enough DO take some adjusting-to when switching between the vehicles.

When I pulled my inner fairing I believe there was plenty of wiring to make the swap.

Thanks fellas. It seems there SHOULD be enough, but the factory setup (current) looks like a PITA for un-bundling then switching the locations of the plugs.

It's something I'd like to do when I swap out the inner fairing...

You will have to be inventive in wiring placement. When I did my Wild1 bars, I didn't get the wiring extensions, instead re-routed the wiring in the inner fairing. Used a bunch of wire tires to secure the connectors to their new positions. I didn't look for the possibility of swapping gauges, but it would be worth a look see.

I have the same problem going from my chevy truck to bike. Been thinking about swapping my gauges to.

It looks like an easy job to me. Plenty of wiring.

I am guessing it could be done ...You might have to extend your odometer reset button wires...Other than that I wouldn't think it would be too bad.
