'03 FLHRPI 22k miles, 95 ci 203 cams, rinehart true duals, power commander 3. Dyno tuned and still have low speed lurching/hesitation 1st thru 3rd gear. Smooth under power and at highway cruising speed. Anyone have similar symptoms and cured 'em? Appreciate your thoughts.
I think the first symptom you have is ashop with a dyno that doesn't understand what to do with it.
What you have is a common combination and should be easy to dial in. Lurching and hesitation sounds like it's begging for more fuel at lower RPM and TP settings. Try changing your power commander fuel settings at the low end. Do this by using the buttons if you don't have a computer and read the power commander manual as to how to do it. If you have a computer go in and open the map and add some fuel to the areas of RPM and TP that are affected.
Then when you realize you're getting some improvement find another dyno shop, one that has a good reputation. Guys that drag race Harley's usually are good choices but you can go to www.powercommander.com to find a list of "tuning centers" which are more experienced than authorized dealers. There is a difference.
