I spent my Sunday looking over an assortment of Bad Baggers at Strokers Dallas yesterday and found a couple of things that I'd like to add to my own bike. Problem is, I'm having a hard time finding links to some of the stuff. Can you help a Brudda out?
First, and for some reason hardest to find, was an LED tail light. It was a brake/turn signal combo that allowed the guy to get rid of the turn signal bar on the rear fender. This really cleaned up the fender and looks like an easy upgrade. I'm guessin' it was a Kuryakyn product but I'll be danged if I can find it.
Next, I'd like to replace the chrome tank dash/filler assembly with a lower profile version, in black of course. I've seen them, and have been told that Paul Yaffe offers one but again, I'm unable to lay hands on one. Now that I think about it, I might need to pick up an extended tank too. Any suggestions for these?
I was also told that Arlen Ness offers a kit that will fit a 200 under the rear fender using the stock swing arm/fender but I can't find snything like that on their site. Bueller, Bueller...anyone?
Another guy had an interesting little fairing that replaced the battery covers on either side, transitioning out til it was flush with the outter edges of the bags. Very streamlined but I was told it was a custom piece. Something tells me otherwise.
And lastly, met a guy who'd taken some Hogpro wheels, I think they were "8 Spoke" and had them anodized. They were just a couple of shades shy of black and looked pretty good. I'm wondering if this was black anodization or something like charcoal?
I know that's a lot to digest and I don't expect answers to all but hope to get some direction. I've left the bike pretty much as I bought it and it's time to upgrade.
Try Jp cycles for a lot of aftermarket items, Ive seen the side covers you talked about in ads in thunder press, the free mag you can find at bike shops or online. Some kool stuf here too. http://www.milwaukeebagger.com/
Kuryakyn makes the Panaca taillight that has the signals built in. I think they are meant to be used as auxiliary signals and not primary. But I am sure they can be wired for primary. Heavy Cycles also had an LED taillight that had signals built in. Haven't heard much from them lately so I don't know if they are even still making lights.
As far as the side covers are these the ones???
I don't think, but I may be wrong that a 200 tire will fit on the stock swingarm.
Here are two options for a low profile dash. LINK. The 11th and 12th down on that page.
Thanks for the info guys. I'll check out every link.
Hey Monster, those are the side covers for sure. I knew it wasn't something that guy fabricated. I don't know that I really want to add them, but it was a very clean look.
Klockwerks.com I think for that black low profile gas tank thinga ma giggy. If you check out American Bagger Magazine. They got majority of what your looking for.Wayto early for me to think right now! Hope I could help out.
