After a short 70 mile ride parked on the lift. Next day noticed big puddle of oil. Reached down and removed the filter AND the screw in adaptor with my fingers.
Bike is 10 years old and believe the adaptor loosended up from heat and cooling as the adaptor had re locktite on it from the factory.
I always install filter to hand tight then a half turn , also by hand. Never had anyone else service bike.
Cleaned all up and used red locktite on thread going into block. All is well. but will put a 7/8 socket on it every filter change in the future.
