Take a total of one more minute undo remaining 3 connections and you could have had that fuel tank safely stored somewhere... Hope that fuel line was not still on. They crack pretty easily.
I did the same with the USB power port and power plug to my detachable fairing on my King. Both are connected to the ACC plug under the seat. I didn't quite lay out my tank like that though. It was pretty full.
Jesus...check ciro phone mount off the potential list. Wtf? Seems like a huge pain to mount a phone...put that damn thing in the saddle bag. I go riding to unwind and get away from all of life's aggravation for awhile...I sure as hell don't want my phone hanging in my face. Oh and that tank...good God man take 5 extra minutes and do it right.
Ok...rant over...hey congrats on the sweet new phone mount and good job doing it yourself.

Congrats on your install.
I was worried about that. I rode until there wasn't much fuel left, so the tank was light. I made sure there wasn't the slightest bit of force or tug on the hose.
I saw how you detach the hose. Does the tank just drain when you detach it or is there some kind of closing valve in it? I wasn't sure how I could funnel it away without making a huge mess and I didn't want to get gas all over the engine.

I know what you mean. I don't always put my phone on if I'm going out without a destination in mind. I do like the Waze app an awful lot though. Very good at telling when there's cops, accidents, heavy traffic, construction, road hazards, or whatever else on the road ahead. Then I don't have to sit in it, I know to go around.
It was a pain, but I did it the lazy way before on a previous bike and just dental flossed it into place under the tank and then zip tied it. It worked ok, but it wasn't all that secure even though I must have put six zip ties on it.
I need the wireless charger because the charge port on my phone is busted and I've got to get some more life out of it before I get a new one from work.
