Now, will Harley Davidson or an aftermarket company offer longer brackets and extension hoses in case the owner wants to mount them higher or farther back of the bike? I see this could be the next handlebar fad.
Not sure if its true or not but my dealer told me the have been recalled. Not even on the Canadian web site. I ordered legend revo a. Looking forward to them.
I originally liked the fact that they would be easy to adjust... but they are a little too "in your face" for my tastes... definitely yelling, "Look what I got..!"
my thoughts exactly. The Legend Revo Arcs’ mount theirs in a less obtrusive manner and you can still use your keystone lights (as you can with the SE mounts)
Suspended by Smarty has been offering some custom options for colors on the reservoirs
These could be easily mounted low behind the bags using hose clamp style clamps , seen it on several bikes before these were introduced. This could be a recognition thing for Harley as well as in " Look what the new Harley's are using " type thing.
If you think about it , Harley doesn't build suspensions , they contract Showa to build basic suspensions for them . Maybe this is the precursor to factory Specials , or more likely the new Sport touring bikes being equipped with Olin premium suspensions as people are more aware of suspensions or lack of .
I agree with some of the previous posters who say that's a lot of money. For hundreds less there are a number of great shocks out there to choose from that have great reviews and reputations. Even by researching this Forum you'll find a lots of opinions on top quality shocks.
I am still a Hugh fan of Pro-Action. They are the best bang for the buck. When we got our first pair they were $695.00 per set. We have close to 50k trouble free enjoyable miles on them. I will buy again!
For the SGS the HD Ohlins have the look we wanted. I really didn’t want to hide the reservoir. The great thing with the HD bracket is:
1) It’s included! They can cost over $300.00 extra.
2) Being exposed they are easier to adjust if needed, and you can easily keep them cleaner and inspect them.
3) The bracket allows you to mount any and all detachable racks on the docking hardware. Not the case with all other designs. One of the reasons they are located where they are.
Sure not for everyone, but we are very happy with them. I got 15% off from my dealer and it was a great deal for me.
These are on my 2020 CVO Ultra. Love the look, rode 250 miles on them first day out, roads over here are pretty crappy but these shocks perform real well. Now have some 32mm Big Bear Performance inserts ordered for the front. Can't wait...
Well worth the money
