I finally bit the bullet and booked my bike in for a stage 1 and WHIM install. I already had pipes (V&H dresser duals with screamin eagle street cannon slip-ons), so all I needed to complete the stage 1 was a tuner (ordered the maximus tuner key) and air cleaner. Total quote was $1100 AUD for parts and dyno time.
The Whim cost $1350 AUD (for the parts, WHIM and 2 headsets) with 1 hours labour to install (about $200 AUD). I'm looking forward to these upgrades. Hopefully the stage 1 will wake my bike up a bit....
I miss not being able to use voice commands and phone (my wired headset broke), the WHIM should fix that nicely.
Stage 1 will provide a very slight performance increase, but is mostly about the sound. Stage II cams are where the really noticeable improvement comes. Especially with a Torque cam which improves the 2000-3500 RPM range.
WHIM is definitely a positive improvement for enabling hands free communications.
