Default Unknown screw

I can't identify this allen head screw. '17 SGS, left side, behind the shift lever, adjustment arm. I looked on Ronnie's schematics and couldn't identify the screw. I think it's a part of the transmission cover. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was thinking that as well, but wasn't too sure. Only reason I wasn't too sure because I'm not technically centering the shift lever, but hey, that's what it's called. Thank you...

If I remember right that screw is used to center the shifting pawl spring when there has been work with the pawl or rachet lever spring. Have you been turning it?

I know I'll catch some flack/laughs, I expect it... No, I have not been turning it. I needed/wanted to know the screw (size) in order to either cap it or replace it. I'm going for a clean looking rider. I'm doing a mixture of chrome, black and white.

I used these to cap the heads of the passenger foot rest bracket screws. I believe the head of that centering screw has the same 9/16" O.D. The open end of the caps are easily trimmed to suit your needs.
