Default Torque or blue Loctite?

2018 Street Glide FLHX - My inner fairing bolt either fell out or the dealer forgot to put it back in during the 30k service (noticed it missing shortly after that).
I have the replacement screw but don’t know if putting Blue on it is a good idea or what the torque settings might be.
Can anyone help a fella out? LOL

These bikes shake things loose after a while.

Blue loctite will work and gives peace of mind.

I use Blue 243 Loctite on many fasteners on my bikes.... doesn't hurt.... however....

Whenever I disassemble anything, I always use a thread chaser to clean the bolts and bolt holes. I get rid of all the old, dried threadlocker to ensure clean threads and thus proper torque during reassembly...

Having said that, it's been awhile since I took my fairing off, and I can't remember what that missing bolt screws into... If it is secured into plastic threads or uses a spring clip fastener, I don't use any threadlocker...

I've heard you don't won't loctite on these fairing screws. It might break the fairing screw holder

I just torque down the fairing screws as per the service manual.

It screws into a clip nut, so any type of loctite is a bad idea. Just snug it up.

yea I've never used locktite on those screws.......snug downed works well........dont want the inner plug to get too much pull on it and it spins in there!
