I still have my 2003 Heritage I bought new in May 2003. When I bought my first bagger in 2012, I couldn't bring myself to sell the Heritage. Still ride it... still no plans to sell it...
I have to admit, I really wish I still had my first Harley, a 1978 FXS Low Rider I bought new in June 1978... alas, it was stolen in July of 1980...
Had the exact same bike and no i wasn't the one.

74 750 Bonneville, 1st "Big Bike" In 1978 on Blueridge Parkway 71 900 XLCH Sportster This was in 1981. Sold it to move to Fl. Never said I was real smart!

I’m fickle. In 52 years of riding two wheeled motorized conveyances, the longest I’ve owned one is five years. That was a 1985 FXRS, bought new at May Harley in Greenville SC.
This was the day I sold it.
By contrast, the shortest time I owned one was three weeks, bought this year, also an evo, 1995 carbed Road King. Chased it for a year, bought it, fixed it up, and sold to a good friend for what I had in it. I’ll get to see it this week in my rear view mirror when we ride.
