why? you've already paid for it and (assume since you had it installed, you got the CD and dongle) why not use it? Use the $ you're planning on spending for a PC to have it dyno'd and have the SERT map fine tuned for your bike. You certainly can install a PC or other fuel management device, but you already have a fuel management system. I would guess that the PC is designed to operate in conjunction with a stock map, not a SERT map which is loaded in the ECU, and not surea stock map is available other than possibly a HD download.
Are you sure you have a SERT, or did the dealer just do a download?
If you had the dealer install a sert, is it possiable after to add a power commander or v/h fuel pack?
thanks, paul
First a SERT is not a installable item, it is simply a interface that is used to reprogram your stock ecm. If you paid the higher price for a SERT retail being 459.00 then they should have given you the interface link and cd.(if not go and demand they turn it over, its yours you paid for it.) It is possible then to renter your ecm and load the stock stage 1 map from the cd then you could add a pcIII or fuel pak using the settings for a ecm with stage 1 download. If you didnt buy a SERT but just got the stage 1 download, cost of 149.00 then you can do same as above and add the pcIII using the settings for a stage 1 ecm. If you have a SERT you could have your bike dyno tuned as cheap as buying the pcIII and have a better set up than with the PCIII or fuel pack.
