I like the XM service just not the hassle of calling to get the best deal. I’ve had it on both batwing bikes and Road Glides. On the RG I very seldom lose signal and the antenna is located in the HD factory location. On the batwing bikes, both SG and Limited I had to move the antenna from under the fairing to the top of the inner fairing beside the vent. After the antenna relocation it was very rare to lose connection.

One thing I do notice is the volume using XM is not as loud as streaming music off my phone. I currently have HD Boom stage 1 audio (amp and 4 speakers). I have to turn the volume up when using XM to get the same level of sound as I get using other music sources.

I have XM for both vehicles and my Ultra. We pay about $13/mo for all. This also allows for streaming from my phone for NFL play by plays. Dont know why is wont work on the Bike.
we wait till jan = our subscription end, let them fall off, then they send numerous emails and stuff to come back. They we ask for the same deal and PRESTO!!! $13.xx/mo again.

The best part for me would be when it would cuts out. I can stand listening to the radio or watching TV. I get on my bike to escape all the unnecessary noise and dribble on the planet.

That is what I do. The sound quality is the same as always. It is what it is. Acceptable. It sounds like @$$ in my truck as I have a nice stereo in it which really brings out the low quality of XM. I guess they are saving bandwidth for the extra 50 garbage channels that they carry.

What grinds my gears is the lack of music variety per channel. It seems like each channel has it's 100 songs that it just plays over and over. You listen to channel __ every day, hear the same songs over and over. I only listen to classic rock, 70s, 80s, hair nation and sometimes a classic country station... Between those four channels, I have more music on my phone. Their DJs absolutely SUCK and seem to talk more to make up for the lack of music variety. For ME... It's become like cable TV. 300 channels and nothing good to listen...

I now have an Apple Music subscription that I am trying out. If I like that enough, I'll kill the XM subscription and just stream from my phone.

Mine cuts out in wooded areas. But other than that no issues with sound quality or anything else.

Sound will always suck on Sirius XM. As others mentioned, you could go with streaming over your phone. I think the best sounding service is Apple Music. With their lossless sound, it sounds damn amazing, at least over the headphones. And if you are still in school like am (lol), you get a student discount at $5 a month.
