. I'm waiting for my 2008 SG to ship on the 23rd. Does the the 2008 fuel map for the touring models address the lean condition and excess heat of the 2007's?
If it doesn't whats the easiest/cheapest way to correct the problem?
Talk to the stealership my08 flhx coming in on aug 31. I am hoping the the new SERT will be out then other then that we are pretty much stuck with with just a stage 1 down load untill the aftermarket catches up.
Was at the local shop yesterday & they were saying MAYBE LATE SEPT for the '08 SERT... & if the dealer does the stage 1 download they still have to comform to EPA standards - which will still be on the lean side...

I wonder if you could use a 07 thunder max or daytone tech ecu unit on a 08 bike being that you are changing the whole ecu unit with these kits. I will have to give these guys a call. I really don't think that hd changed the security system in any way or maybe they did. If not I would still think it would work unless the efi unit is new too.
Terry component's terminal velocity II. It self adjusts 500 times a second. Check it out at www.terrycomp.com there is a frequent question section that may answer all your questions. I installed mine about 1500 miles ago and bike is running richer and running less hot. Plus by my ***-o-meter feels more pull. I bought it because never need to dyno it when adding pipes, breather kits, etc. Do a search here on it And you will learn more about the TVII. Hope this is helpful.
