I have the new software and there are maps specifically for the 08 models. The Sert is the same, the software is mostly the same and now you can program a CLB table for each cylinder (07 and 08).
My understanding is that the SERT will work on the 2008 Delphi style ECM's,but the 2008 Throttle-By-Wire controlls use a new style ECM.
Is there a H/D Tech that has the electrical circuit diagram which may show any differance in circuit operation?
The PN is 32117-01'L' ( 476v ) The 476v will not read the 462v maps, you tuners will have to copy/paste tables only into the new software and even at that there are down load problem. The 159 files have been reformatted into 176 files....there are only two 159 files left and they belong to V Rod. I found that I have to keep both versions of the Tuner and all my data map files are separate on my desk top.
I was pleased to tune my first FBW 110' CVO bike yesterday.....the tuning which is basically the same has some real big changes in certain rpm and throttle position ranges. One of the most interesting changes is the FBW ECMwill not allow the engine to reach 80% or 100% throttle below 3000rpm. If you where traveling down the road at 2800 rpm and wacket the throttle wine open the ECM would open the throttle to 64% until the rpm reaches 3000 then it opens to 100%. I'm sure this will stop the pinging that plagued the 07 bike owners and even stop the shifting of flywheels in the bigger inch motors. The other big change is no more IAC.....you simply set the idle like a carb by opening or closing the throttle plate, so there is no more 0% throttle on the VE tables....the bike idles at 4.5% TP.
I didn't see any Dual CLB tables on the 08 maps however they do exist on the 176 files for the 07 bikes.
Thanks ticktock, I hope the new maps take care of the pinging issues. I've been retarding timing and adding fuel in the ping areas just to get it right. The way the factory should have. Ha! Do you know if I can get a copy of the flht touring slip-ons with air kit new version to download and work with the 462 version? Thanks
Thanks for the reply Doc 1, it looks like they took care of the pinging issues in the new models. I hope the new 07 version cals. will help in the pinging area.
The new maps wont work with the old software and the old maps don't work with the new software(except to view and copy/paste to the new). So while I could send you a new one unless you have the new software it wont do you much good.
