I've been searching for tires for my 2012 Fatboy with little success. I wanted to stick with the Dunlop American Elite, but I couldn't locate a 200 55 17 anywhere. I then began looking for Metzeler and ran into an issue where I couldn't find both the front and rear in the same model. I ultimately ordered a Cruise Tec rear and an ME888 for the front. I would have gone with Cruise Tec on both but I didn't find any listings for the 140 75 17 front. I won't need to have them installed until probably June, but with the supply chain situation I decided to get some early.
Had to do a similar search for truck tires earlier this year. Had to look at multiple manufacturers and models until I finally found a set of 4 in stock - ordered them early and put them in the garage for a few months before installation. It's like living in a second world country these days.
My 2012 FLHXSE3 is in for lifter work and other Sundries--including tires--they told me Saturday[1/8/2022] that I would need tires before my June inspection---I figured it's there and there is a wait for tires so ,I'd rather say do it now then in May and not have my bike during riding season--Dunlop Elites for me

I got 21k miles off the tire so I hate to use something else.
BUT if I have to is it a good idea to mix brands? I'll wait until the beginning of March but already have the tire dismounted.
I don't like mixing brands but last summer I had no choice. It was mix the tires or don't ride. So far I haven't had any issues with the exception of getting shingles on my head, left ear, and going down my neck.
So, my riding season was cut short anyway.
