Not a big modification, but as a result of a nice Christmas gift from the wife, I added this to the bike today. I also removed the shift shaft and cleaned that as well. Moisture does get in there.
Not a big modification my rear. That is one of the very first mod I did to my 07 RKC back in 07 before it ever came home with me from the dealership. You haven't lived till you are out in the middle of nowhere with two rocks trying to beat the stock ball joint shaft tighter on the ball. however mine was just the little 80 dollar shaft back in 07, but it has the Heim joints and they are still working great
Your wife did good.

Thanks, six gun. Yes she did. It was definitely a nice upgrade, Impressed with shift response. I was detailing the bike and noticed the worn rubber. A little research, and it appears everyone shares your opinion, this was the first mod they did because the heim joint is more dependable. It only took me 14 years to do it!
I lost a shifter on my old Street Bob on the highway in PA (250 miles from home). I have been saying Im gonna change my shifter on my 2019 for 3 years now and this thread is enough to solidify it. Thanks.
Edit to fix all my typos.
