Default Sputtering under 3k

Good afternoon everyone,

I own a 2002 Electra Glide Ultra Classic. I have been having issue past few months with the bike sputtering under 3k rpm and when I down shift it has been popping and back firing more often. I did not think about it till today but all this started a few weeks after I removed the Y pipe and replaced it with the pipes needed to convert it into a true dual exhaust. When you turn the exhaust into a true dual does the bike need to be tuned?

Yep, sounds like you should tune it.

Tuning it will probably show an exhaust leak so yes, start with a tune.

I would also check the fuel system starting with the fuel filter.
