Exhaust smell when riding
I installed a 12" windshield on my '07 Street Glide, along withUltra-style wind deflectors on the lower edge of the batwing, and a chrome air deflector under the steering stem. All of this eliminated the wind buffeting but I noticed a strong smell of exhaust fumes when riding at highway speeds afterwards. The smell disappeared after I removed the wind deflectors from the lower edge of the batwing. There was not much wind that day and I can only conclude I must have created a lot of negative pressure behind the fairing, such that it sucked in exhaust fumes? I am running the stock exhaust system with Screaming Eagle air cleaner. Any thoughts?
