I picked up a used Condor wheel chock I found online when I was in Florida for Bike Week. Then I went to the Speedway and found the Load-All tent and bought the retractable ratchet straps and the quick attach bracket for the Condor. Now, what happened to my bike on the way to Florida will hopefully never happen again!

What happened to your bike on the way to Florida? You can’t just tell half the story and leave us hanging!

Tried something new with no wheel chock and 6 straps. Been hauling my bike from Central WI to FL since I think 2009 and never an issue til this year. Straps came loose just enough to lay the bike on its side and had it bouncing off the crash bar, which had somehow wrecked my front fender, and my forward control was digging into the floor. Oh and it was bouncing off the inside of the back door. At least the right muffler kept the lower corner of the saddlebag off the door far enough to keep it from wearing a hole completely through the bag. And it broke my rear fender extention but not the Custom Dynamics tri bar light. All cosmetic stuff but it still makes you sick to see your children's inheritance laying on its side. This all happened in the first 100 miles of a 1500 mile one way trip.

I have mine set in the third hole from the front.Bike sits in the cradle solid and it is not that difficult to rock the bike bike out with my short legs (27 inch inseam). My bike is lowered 1 inch front and rear. Bike is a 2020 Streetglide...and FWIW, my chock is just sitting on my floor and does not move at all.

Worth every penny

We have 2 Condors pit stops in the garage. Also have one of the Universal L track adapters to use in the trailer with E-Track. If I had to do it again I would look hard at the Wheeldock it just looks so easy. On the Condor I did move to the 3rd hole and it's pretty easy to get the bikes out.

I have the Cargo Buckle retractable straps on my lift and they work well but I bought PowerTye Big Daddy straps if we need to trailer the bikes. Also found a used B&W biker bar for the trailer.

My vote is for the Wheeldock Chock. Bought mine in 2019 and it has served me well on my open trailer and in the garage. It doesn't move when I use it in the garage and bolts down to the wooden bed securely. Have used it on two trips for Indiana to Florida and one to PA and back. Almost effortless to roll it off, but it takes a good push to un-lock (no big deal). Super quality.

For sure! Unfortunately for us up here in Canada buying most anything (motorcycle, golf, etc) gets stupid expensive once you add shipping, customs, brokerage & exchange.
I see where being in the US shipping is free on a lot of stuff. In the end, it was cheaper for me to just go to the dealer 20 minutes away & purchase mine.

I have to say, which chock to use is certainly a first world problem.... best kind to have...

Having a rocking cradle style chock on my K&L lift, I decided to try the WheelDock chock when I was buying a chock to use to stand a bike upright (for room issues) in my small little garage/shop.

I liked the K&L chock on my lift, but it did take a good tug to get it out of the chock. That tug wasn't a big issue, just something I noticed..

Once I tried the WheelDock chock, the difference was obvious to me. I didn't feel the need to get rid of the K&L chock on my lift... but I decided to spend the extra money on the WheelDock for the chocks I bought in the future.... No rocking cradle was a really nice to have feature for me...

The biggest drawback to the wheelDock chock, is that they are specifically made to the front wheel size... I shared one between my Heritage and Bagger, using the WheelDock spacers when switching between them, but needed to buy another chock altogether for my Springer, with the thin, 21" front tire. Over the years I eventually bought another one, so I have three now, each specifically sized for each bike I have...

PS-
Vernal, I use those Cargo Buckles on my lift too.... it has transformed my strap-the-bike-to-the-lift ritual to an easy, one-man 30 second routine... I love those... BUT... I also use the PowerTye straps anytime I'm transporting a bike on my trailer or in my toy hauler motorhome... They truly are an excellent tie down strap..

On an aside, WheelDock shows a way to tie down a bike with their WheelDock Chock and two cross straps.... I've used it and it works well... I always put two extra straps for my piece of mind as back ups, but the back-ups have yet to be needed... and that included a 4,000 mile round trip on a trailer with my bagger...
