Can a neighbor swing by and sit on the bike while you measure? Or maybe he can measure while you and wife are on the bike?
I could put some dumbbells in a milk crate and put them on a passenger seat. My wife is the one who measured the sag lol

Then earlier this week I installed new slip ons and changed the setting to 3 on the shocks. Holy crap. I never woulda guessed the adjustments could make such a big difference. Now I need to go to 4 and see if it's even better or if it's too big a swing the opposite direction.

Maybe it's placebo effect but NOW I feel I got my money worth. Even though the non adjustable Revo are basically the same just permanently set to 3 I like the option of being able to change it up.

I know I shoulda made the adjustment much earlier, hell I think legend tells you to. I just never did bc honestly I didn't think it could make THAT much difference
It is not Placebo effect. It took me a month to dial in my Revo A's 13. Dialing the correct rebound takes a bit.
The more aggressive riding go higher! You MUST also adjust the sag correctly, SO important.
I got them perfect and then swapped them out for Ohlins Blackline 13, back to the drawing board
Best to remove the bags for a week for easy access and do your normal routine.

I am curious why people don't go with Ohlins or GP suspension or another brand in the front that you can externally adjust.
With the Legend front cartridges adjusting is much more difficult.
This video convinced me.

a lot here are talking about performance. but what about soaking up bumps? I thought going from my softail to the street glide was night and day. cant imagine it getting much better.

This is more my preference. I have the Bitubo shocks and am still trying out different settings. I'm looking for more of a smoother ride w/o the bottoming out on big bumps. Feels good now with my settings but, WTH, it's Springtime and I'm retired.

Anyone stay with the Legends 12's, don't want to increase the ride height, mostly ride solo, weigh about 165lbs.

I do not think you will find many people that stayed with 12's, considering that after you set a sag, you are not really increasing much height, but gaining much larger travel length from 12 inch vs. 13 inch. I was thinking the same and wanted to stay with stock height, because I didn't want to rise the bike, but everything I read, everyone said to switch to 13 inch. After setting everything up, I do not see any difference in height from stock to 13 inch Legends. At least it doesn't feel like it...

Yeah definitely gonna check that video out.

Yup I even left the bags off for a few days. Still never wound up adjusting initially. Complete mistake by me. Oh well. Live and learn

Nope sorry. Bike does sit a little higher with 13s. Not sure how much though. I have short legs and I did notice a difference. For reference I'm 5' 11" with 30" inseam.

I can still flat foot though

I changed to RWD 13’s on my cvo street glide and I’m contemplating going back to 12’s. I’m 6’2 so it’s not because of height, I’m thinking of lowering the front end and have spoken to numerous suspension companies that recommends going back to a 12 for doing that.

We have 12” Revo’s on my wife’s Ultra Classic. They do lower the bike compared to the 13” Revo’s on my Ultra. She loves the ride and when I hop on hers to ride it because I’m the mechanic, it’s still a nice ride even though the sag is set for her.
Her bike is lowered front and back so we can’t go back to 13” shocks without bring the forks back to stock height, but there’s no reason to. The 12” Legend shocks ride just fine.

I just had the Pro Action kit installed in my front forks 2014 StreetGlide. Unbelievable how awesome the front end is. No diving on braking and no harsh square edge hits I am blown away. I also did the 12" Pro Action rears same just amazing.
