Yes, for the power... you can't plug the power wires from the grip in to it with the "cap" on/in it also.

From the grips there should be 2 connectors, 1 male & 1 female. #1 below with the Red & Black wire is female and #3 from the above drawing (Black and Violet wires) should plug into that... #2 below is male with black and white wires should plug into #1 from the above drawing that also has Black and White wires.

In the drawings supplied above #1 is a female, and #3 is a male once you get the protective cap/plug off of it, if somebody hadn't already removed it.

View from standing in front of the bike...
Bike has a Female connector on the left (throttle side) with black and white wires (#1 in drawing). Grips have a Male connector with black and white wires (#2 in picture)... plug them together, that is what ties your right grip to your left grip, called the "interconnect" wire (to get the power from the clutch side grip to the throttle side grip).

Bike has a Male connector on the right (clutch side) black and violet wires (BK & V/BE actually) thats connector (#3 in drawing). Grips have a Female connector with a red and black wire (#1 in picture)... plug them together, that gets the power from the bike to the grips...

You got it. Just did this same install with some new handle bars. Once you have the throttle side jumpered to the left hand, the existing plug routes to #3 for power. Once that dust cover is removed of course! Lol . Just did my test ride with mine, Love Them!

Thank you very much for the info. I wonder if I was just doing wrong. I thought both #1 and #3 were make ends
