Default heated grips!!!

changing out my bars for a set of 10 inch la choppers.i live in arizona and don't need heated grips(cooled grips would be nice).besides the stock factory heated grips are ugly.so what i want to know is,can i just put another set of tbw grips and not have to worry about any codes being thrown because i'm not connecting the 3 wires back up???thanks.

Yes you can. I would unplug them from within the inside fairing, left side.

Do they have any value?

I am like the OP, and don't really like the factory grips at all.
Never had heated grips before, so thought I'd leave em on for awhile.
How about that, they work pretty well. But I still don't like them. LOL

I want to put on some aftermarket (non-heated) Avon or similar.
Just didn't know what needed to be done about the wiring.

I live in Queen Creek as well and have used those heated grips more than once. I like them.

If any of you who don't need/want the heated grips, I am in need of a left side factory heated grip since I somehow damaged mine when putting it back on. If you are interested in selling one or both, let me know how much and maybe we can make it happen.

i lived in the carolinas near myrtle beach (before moving here 7 months ago)and the weather was cool at times(dec,jan& feb).never needed heated grips there either.to each his own.LOL.

I live in Florida but I distinctly remember traveling in the 40s and 30s. My commute is an hour at 5 am, those heated grips are AWESOME!!!

I live in Tonopah and have used my heated grips and like the heat(didn't think I would) but I do think the factory grips are ugly. I wished Kuryakyn would make the ISO grips in a heated version.
