Default 2011 flhp small oil leak

I have some oil leaking around the oil filter. I am changing the oil soon and was wondering what are the chances that the filter gasket is the problem any other areas that I should look at. I have a rag under the oil filter where it screws in and all good. Cases look dry where the oil cooler is hoses look good. It just seems under the filter but I was wondering if there is any other ares to look at. Thanks

Filter. Tighten it to instructions on box with a cup tool.

I would not think that’s it, I will see when I take it off. Nothing is never that easy

Stator plug looks good. It is inside by the oil filter

I had the adapter the filter screws onto loosen up causing a leak. Sure am glad it didn't fall off riding. Screwed it back in using red locktite

Make sure that the adapter is completely tight. That would be the center threaded piece that your filter screws on. It does loosen up and will leak around the filter gasket as the filter will fibrate loose. Only takes a second to check and tighten when you drop that filter. It takes a 7/16ths hex or you can use a 1/4 bolt head in a pinch (I posted this back in 2014) Hope it helps
