Factory Audio Headset
This has probally been asked before.I searched tono avail.
Here goes
On the cheapskate side what are the options for a secondaudio headset for my 2006 ultra Classic.
My 2up rider goes with me about 10% of the time so no real need to spend$189.00 or even $159. from Chicago
for a headset that will be used very little.
Ilooked at J&M and ifI understand it right they want$169. for their compatable version.
We both have Fulmer half helmets
Also how about an extension for the factory cord no help at Radio Shack
they have no clue about 7 pin DIN conectors.

sold my HD headset on e-bay. if thats what you want, then there is usually a set for sale. course, there is a reason they're selling these new HD headsets.
I got rid of mine immediately and went to J&Ms. well worth the $, but if you want cheap, its your $, and e-bay is a great source.

Hey 06alultra. I know this isn't the place but I could not pm you. I have a brand new still in the box that I would sell for 120 + shipping. I am trying to get a 3 pocket fairing pouch for my ultra. Wife isn't very happy so if I sell something maybe she'll give in. Make an offer.

Is there a way to clip off the small headset speakers on the HD headsets, but still use the mic and the speakers in the fairing ?? I want to use the mic and the PTT, but hear the CB, music and nav from the fairing speakers.

Go with the J&M "Performance Series"...excellent audio quality and less price.
I got the HS-BCD279-UN-HO from Sierra Electronics, with the Lower Cord for $133.50 + shipping. I put it in my SHOEI Multi-TEC (I have the Elite Series in my SHOEI 3/4 helmet) and it is excellent.

Factory Headset
Just wanting info on taking off the factory earpieces, using the factory mic w/ the PTT, but getting all the audio from the fairing speakers. Is there a pin in the cable that could be cut off so that the audio would still come from the fairing ??

Intercom is only heard through the headsets...regardless of which position the Speaker switch is in.
