I traded my 99 Fatboyin for a 2006 Ultra Classic in Vivid Black. What a sweet ride home that was. I was very impressed with the Ultra. (I do miss my Fatboy)
Now all I have to do is straighten the 45 degree bend out of that damn antenna that I closed in the overhead garage door. Talk about being ignorant. Bike wasn't even 5 hours old or have 50 miles on it yet .
I definatelly need to look into a set of the short antenna's.
if it has a hex key type screw holding the antenna into the base just looosen it up pull it out clip it at the bend and put it back together (as long as the bend isnt near the tip it should be fine. might want to file off the paint at the base a bit so it makes good contact. Most of the folks in our hog group cut em short right off the bat. it works fine unless you have a CB radio.
I leave mine long cause I use it as a "curb feeler" when I pull up under the carport. I hear it tick against the last beam on the carport and I know I'm right where I"m supposed to park............LOL
