There's one more thing I was curious about. Since I'll be replacing my TGS soon and hard-wiring it to get rid of the green connector, in hopes of alleviating future problems, I was looking at a different set of bars.
Any suggestions on quality bars? A set that doesn't allow play in the TGS? From what I've read, some manufacturers of cheaper bars don't take the time to cut those notches in very well... thanks
I myself am a fan of Khromewerkz , had them on all of my previous bikes , love the Classic look , and it make for wiring much easier also . LA Choppers is another good company you can rely on . Both these sites have the measurements and details of each bar as well , which is a plus . I have never had any issues with these two bars when it comes to fitment .
Khromewerkz are good bars.... I have no experience with LA Choppers....
I am partial to Wild 1 Chubbys bars.... they are very well made and I had an easy install with the two sets I bought/installed... One on a '16 Bagger, and one on a 2001 FXS Springer
All electrical issues are the biggest PITA you can imagine. It is never the repair, it is always the diagnosis. When the issue turns out to be simple like the one you just had, there is a huge sigh of relief, followed by a huge surge of frustration at not having found it sooner!!!!
No problem, I come here for allota info, just as all of you here before me.
Thank you ALL for the you provided, as you can see it really helped.
Kudos to you for sticking with this and fixing it yourself I try to do all my own also I just feel I need to have my own eyes in there seeing what's what.
As mentioned by others electrical ugh the worst.
But mostly as you mentioned in this quote letting all know what it actually was, I have read a number of questions on here where the OP never comes back and lets people know what the issue/fix was (mostly older posts) so thanks.
