Mine is a chopped Bad Dad performance series. I cannot fit a full faced helmet inside. I bought this one because I liked the style and LED integrated brake and turn signals. Mine was painted by Bad Dad, prior to shipment. The paint is flawless. Is it worth it, vs. a HD King pack? As pretty as it is, I'd probably go with an OEM King, if I were to do it again. I'd like the options of being able to pack a full face, and, being able to put a rack on top, for adding more junk.

Although that may not be as practical as a king TP is sure does look great! That's a damn fine looking SG!

I added a Harley color-matched King tourpak to my Street Glide. Other aftermarket brands are available (AdvanBlack is probably the most well-known one) but I wanted the real deal; the color match is perfect which is not always the case with the cheaper knock-off ones.

It's on and off in seconds and I quickly got used to the added weight of it. I'd guesstimate it adds about 45 pounds to the bike including the mounting rack. When empty it comfortably holds two full face helmets. I wouldn't be without it now on a longer trip.

Just for reference, HD chopped tour pak with solo mounting rack weighs 30 lbs without passenger backrest.

If you never travel cross country and only venture 50 miles from home or less, I guess. If that's the case go without one, aka Street Glide/Road King.....
Because I like riding bikes more than trucks.

I don't want to go home and get truck to get groceries, run errands, ect
In Midwest, you got cold mornings and nights. So I carry clothes that will be me riding more.

Does it bother you more weight wise than passenger?

The only reason you may "notice" the weight of the tour pack more than some passengers () is that, in the 2-up position, the tour pack is 50-60# hanging off the back of the bike behind the rear axle... so it's noticeable, its got some "leverage". But really, to me, its more that it is more noticeable when it is off the bike, the bike feels "light" without it.
The Chopped I have is on 1-up bracket and it is barely even noticeable when it's on the bike, to me. I think that is because in the 1-up position it is above or in front of the rear axle... "kinda comparable" to having a passenger who knows how to ride on with you.
None of it is unmanageable or "bad", its just stuff you notice when you change it out is all.

If you are going to buy one get the full size. Pre Rushmore bikes are a bulky box, Rushmore full size packs are much more streamlined.
I can store two helmets in mine or my helmet and a heavy jacket with room to spare.

If you want to add lighting, Custom Dynamics is very helpful and will get you what you want and help with any questions. I can remove mine in just a few minutes and sometimes do in summer but it is so handy it stays on most of the time.

A King is great for 2-up riding and if you have full face helmets you're probable gonna want a King. The chopped is 3" shorter, top to bottom, than the King and a full face helmet will not fit in one (its the bottom 3" of the bottom that's taken away, basically, and the lids are the same, they are just drilled different for the different back pads).

Love your setup
