Fuel pump noise
“Sometimes “ and usually only when I have just filled the tank, the fuel pump makes a loud whining noise? It goes away and may not happen evert time? So far no issues with bike, just makes me worry.

Whirring would be a better statement. but its loud enough I can hear while riding? And again, it doesn't do it all the time? but usually if it does it, its when I have just filled the tank.
Buddy told me its because I have stock exhaust and I don't turn up my radio loud enough!
Bike runs perfect, just a new noise.

Its my experience and others as well, that its time to change the fuel filter for the noise you describe.

After my Sportster has sat for a week or so of no running the fuel pump makes a loud rising note as it pressurises the system. Done it from new with 20K miles on the clock. My partner's Sportster is very, very quite all the time.

I think I know what you are describing. Like every 1/2 dozen or so starts, I can hear the fuel pump whining just a bit louder than normal and it continues to do it until the bike (2015 FLHR) is shut off and restarted. I could never detect a pattern as far as the fuel level or air temp, etc. Mine has done it since I bought the bike with ~8000 miles until now with ~35000 miles. No other effects that I'm aware of. Since you mentioned that it seems to happen right after a fill up, it could have something to do with the fact that gas coming out of an underground tank tends to be at a lower temperature. Just a guess.
