Road glide fairing question

Default Road glide fairing question
I am looking for a new road glide. I was at the dealer yesterday and noticed on a road glide special I was looking at that it had the three vents in the fairing. The top one you could close. The lower two didn’t have the flaps like my older glide does. Did they change this? Mines a cvo .

Yes and they charge extra for that feature.

yes, they changed that in 2020. but, you can buy the vents and replace them yourself if you wanted, the parts would run less than $200 and they are easy to change out. seems most people don't care about the lower vents. i do. i'm short enough that if i get caught in a rainstorm, water coming through the open vents gets routed straight to my eyeballs. it will run around behind my glasses and get in my eyes. that **** stings!

Yep. The same thing is happening at the grocery store, lumber yard, and every hotel.

I am guessing the vents help relieve the vacuum that would cause the pushing affect. Was in a nasty rainstorm in western Montana last year, did not notice water coming thru the vents.
