Difference in seats
Whats the difference between and 07 SG seat to an 08? Is it just the tab that slides in the frame to the tab that slides into the seat. Other differences that would not let an 08 seat fit on an 07 with a little mod?

Just a suggestion. Go to the Harley website or one like Dennis Kirk and see if the same model / part number seat works for both year models. If so you are good. If not, then I cannot help as to what the difference would be. Personally I would prefer a seat made for my year model instead of making modifications.

08 has same frame as 07, but bigger gas tank. 08 maybe be morphidite year, since then in 2009 they change the frame.

08 was a frame change and gas tank size. And 08 is a bastard year for some seats. I had an 08. Not all seats fit like they list. The 09 up hammock absolutely did not fit. But I’m not thinking the 08 will fit the 07. But like was said. Get some part numbers.
